...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...North Central Greene County in East Tennessee...
South Central Hawkins County in East Tennessee...
* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1056 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Baileyton, McCloud, Romeo and St. Clair.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 2 AM EDT early this morning for a
portion of east Tennessee, including the following areas, Greene and
Hawkins.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
