...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM MDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central Sierra County in south central New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 215 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water
  crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1111 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause arroyo and small stream flooding.
    Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall of up to 0.5 to 1.5 inches is expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Caballo, Cuchillo, Truth or Consequences, San Miguel, Engle,
    Palomas, City of Elephant Butte, Cutter, Spaceport America,
    Ladder Ranch, Williamsburg, Ash Canyon, Lower Palomas Canyon, Hot
    Springs Landing and Upper Palomas Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
