...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over
roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 304 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and
small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.75 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain, on top of rainfall received over the
last 48 hours, will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oasis State Park and Floyd.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
