...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM MDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central El Paso County in western Texas...
* WHEN...Until 130 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over
roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1204 AM MDT, Another round of thunderstorms with heavy
rainfall is moving up the Lower Valley, while additional moderate
to heavy rainfall has moved into Central El Paso. Rainfall rates
of 1 to 2 inches per hour will lead to localized flooding on area
roads, and in poor drainage areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
The City of El Paso, Mission Valley, Horizon City, Clint, San
Elizario, Canutillo, Fort Bliss, Socorro and Westway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
