The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Union County in south central Arkansas...
  Columbia County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Lafayette County in southwestern Arkansas...

* Until 1030 AM CDT.

* At 736 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Magnolia, Smackover, Stamps, Waldo, Lewisville, Junction City, 
  McNeil, Bradley, Taylor, Emerson, Buckner, Macedonia, Smithland, 
  Village, Atlanta, Bussey, Mount Holly, Welcome, Lisbon and 
  Canfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* At 1020 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing with high 
  water rescues being reported.  Do not drive your vehicle into high 
  water areas.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
