The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
East Central Mason County in west central Texas...
* Until 430 PM CDT.
* At 118 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 10 inches of rain
have fallen in the immediate area, with up to 18 inches upstream
of this location. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area, and any additional rainfall will only
exacerbate the ongoing flooding. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Llano River south of Mason.
This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
