The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern San Saba County in west central Texas...
* Until 700 AM CDT.
* At 352 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 8 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Colorado Bend State Park and
surrounding areas. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

FOR SOUTHEASTERN SAN SABA COUNTY...
At 456 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 8 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area. Also, the Colorado River at Bend river gauge jumped
about 12 feet 3 am. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Colorado Bend State Park and
surrounding areas. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
HIGHER GROUND NOW!
