  Eastern Harnett County in central North Carolina...
  Southwestern Johnston County in central North Carolina...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 430 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Benson, or 10
  miles southwest of Smithfield, moving south at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lillington, Dunn, Angier, Benson, Erwin, Coats, Four Oaks, Coats
  Crossroads, and Buies Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 90 and 70.
 Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 311 and 339.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.

FOR SOUTHEASTERN HARNETT AND SOUTHWESTERN JOHNSTON COUNTIES...

At 451 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Benson, or 14
miles east of Lillington, moving southwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN HARNETT AND
SOUTHWESTERN JOHNSTON COUNTIES HAS EXPIRED...

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.
