Cumberland County in central North Carolina...
* Until 600 PM EDT.
* At 521 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Godwin, or 16
miles northeast of Fayetteville, moving south at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, Godwin, Hope Mills, Eastover, Roseboro,
Stedman, Wade, Salemburg, and Falcon.
This includes Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 65 and 41.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
