The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
  North central Brewster County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 711 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles north of
  Marathon, or 24 miles east of Alpine, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  southwestern Pecos and north central Brewster Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN PECOS AND NORTH CENTRAL BREWSTER COUNTIES...

At 725 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 25 miles northeast
of Marathon, or 32 miles south of Fort Stockton, moving east at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
