The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Central Brewster County in southwestern Texas...
* Until 915 PM CDT.
* At 808 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles east of
Persimmon Gap, or 29 miles northeast of Panther Junction, moving
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and three inch hail.
SOURCE...Persimmon Gap Mesonet is reporting wind gusts between 60
to 75 MPH.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN BREWSTER COUNTY...
At 826 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 22 miles east of
Persimmon Gap, or 31 miles northeast of Panther Junction, moving
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Brewster County.
