GUSTY WINDS AND DRY CONDITIONS, AS WELL AS THE POTENTIAL FOR DRY
LIGHTNING...
...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING FOR DRY AND BREEZY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE WESTERN
AND SOUTHERN COMBINED PANHANDLES...

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for dry and breezy conditions, which is in effect 
from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph. 
 
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 90s.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to 
  spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will
create favorable weather for rapid fire growth and spread. Avoid
activities that promote open flames and sparks.

A Fire Weather Watch means that the potential for critical fire
weather conditions exists. Listen for later forecasts and
possible red flag warnings.

  and higher.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 90s.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to 
  spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...

  FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5).

  WEATHER...Near Critical...2 (out of 5).

  FIRE ENVIRONMENT...6 (out of 10).
