The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Western Benson County in northeastern North Dakota...

* Until 1015 PM CDT.

* At 935 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Maddock, or 16 miles northeast of Harvey, moving
  northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Leeds, Maddock, Minnewaukan, Esmond, Harlow, Brinsmade, and Flora.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN BENSON COUNTY...

At 950 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Harlow, or 27 miles west of Devils Lake, moving
northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN BENSON COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT
1015 PM CDT...

The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning will be 
allowed to expire. However, damaging winds remain likely and a 
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
northeastern North Dakota.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
Benson County until 1030 PM CDT!
