The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Central Meeker County in central Minnesota...
* Until 915 PM CDT.
* At 839 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 5 miles north of Litchfield, or 22 miles north of
Hutchinson, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Forest City, Litchfield, Litchfield Airport, Darwin, Greenleaf and
Dassel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building
away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a
vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself
from flying debris.

NORTHEASTERN MEEKER COUNTY...
At 852 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Litchfield, or 19 miles north of Hutchinson, moving
southeast at 20 mph.

...TORNADO WARNING HAS EXPIRED FOR NORTHEASTERN MEEKER COUNTY...
The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1200 AM CDT for a
portion of central Minnesota.
