Total snow accumulations between 12 and 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Litchfield County in northwest Connecticut, Dutchess and Ulster Counties in eastern New York * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult to impossible. The dangerous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree limbs and power lines in addition to causing blowing and drifting snowfall. Visibility will drop as low as 1/4 mile. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A powerful noreaster will impact the region late today through Monday. The higher snowfall amounts will be favored across the higher elevations and far southern parts of the counties. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany and Rensselaer Counties in eastern New York and Bennington and Windham Counties in southern Vermont. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Visibility will be reduced late tonight into Monday morning due to falling and blowing snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute and possibly the evening commute as well for eastern areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A powerful noreaster will impact the region this evening through Monday.
