...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM EST 
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations 
  between 12 and 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Litchfield County in northwest Connecticut, Dutchess and 
  Ulster Counties in eastern New York

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult to impossible. The dangerous 
  conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. 
  Gusty winds could bring down tree limbs and power lines in 
  addition to causing blowing and drifting snowfall.  Visibility 
  will drop as low as 1/4 mile.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A powerful noreaster will impact the region 
  late today through Monday. The higher snowfall amounts will be 
  favored across the higher elevations and far southern parts of the 
  counties. Snowfall rates may reach 2 inches per hour at times late 
  tonight into early Monday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, 
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with 
your vehicle.

  14 inches with locally higher totals across the higher elevations 
  of the eastern Catskills and Berkshires. Winds gusting as high as 
  50 mph.

* WHERE...The Berkshires of western Massachusetts and Columbia and 
  Greene Counties in eastern New York

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Visibility may drop below 1/4 mile at times due to 
  falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on 
  tree limbs may down power lines and could cause power outages. 
  Travel will be difficult to impossible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A powerful noreaster will impact the region 
  late today through Monday. The higher snowfall amounts will be 
  favored across the higher elevations and far southern parts of the 
  counties. Snowfall rates may reach 2 inches per hour at times late

  10 inches across Schoharie County, the Helderbergs, Capital Region 
  and northern Taconics of eastern New York and 6 to 12 inches 
  across southern Vermont. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany and Rensselaer Counties in 
  eastern New York and Bennington and Windham Counties in southern 
  Vermont.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Visibility will be reduced 
  late tonight into Monday morning due to falling and blowing snow. 
  The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute 
  and possibly the evening commute as well for eastern areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A powerful noreaster will impact the region 
  this evening through Monday. There will be a sharp gradient of 
  snowfall totals and the higher snowfall amounts will be favored 
  across the higher elevations and southern parts of the area. 
  Snowfall rates could approach one inch per hour within bands late 
  tonight into Monday morning.
