The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central La Porte County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 1145 PM CDT.

* At 1116 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located near Kingsford Heights, or 7 miles southeast of
  Westville, moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Kingsford Heights around 1120 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Byron,
South Center, Salem Heights, Fish Lake, Tracy, Kingsbury, Stillwell,
and Union Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN LA PORTE COUNTY...

At 1129 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes
were located along a line extending from near La Porte to near
Kingsford Heights, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

These tornadic storms will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern La Porte County, including the following locations...
Byron, South Center, Salem Heights, Fish Lake, Tracy, Kingsbury, and
Stillwell.

AT 1145 PM CDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.

Indiana.
