The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern Tazewell County in central Illinois...
  Northeastern Mason County in central Illinois...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 528 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Green Valley, or 12 miles south of Pekin, moving
  northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.  At 5:27 pm a trained weather 
           spotter reported a funnel cloud over Manito.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  South Pekin and Green Valley around 535 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL TAZEWELL AND NORTHEASTERN MASON COUNTIES...

At 543 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Green Valley, or 8 miles south of Pekin, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  South Pekin around 550 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Powerton.
