The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southern Hancock County in west central Illinois...

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 624 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Sutter, or 11 miles south of Keokuk, moving
  northeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  West Point, Basco, and Stillwell around 630 PM CDT.
  Denver and Bentley around 635 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Bowen and Plymouth.

HANCOCK COUNTY...

At 647 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Denver, or 8 miles south of Carthage, moving east 
at 35 mph. Second very severe thunderstorm will merge with the 
tornadic storm around 7 PM. This may greatly increase the chances of 
a tornado occuring in that merger over south central Hancock County. 

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Augusta, Bowen, Denver, and Bentley around 650 PM CDT.
  Plymouth and Hancock County Fairgrounds around 655 PM CDT.

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.
