PANHANDLES...

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Red Flag
Warning for strong winds and low relative humidity, which is in 
effect from 10 AM to 8 PM CST Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is 
no longer in effect.

* WINDS...Southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 14 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the 70s to low 80s.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...

  FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5).

  WEATHER...Critical...3 (out of 5).

  FIRE ENVIRONMENT...7 (out of 10).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will
create favorable weather for rapid fire growth and spread. Avoid

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for breezy winds and low relative humidity, which
is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

* WINDS...For warning, southwesterly to westerly winds 30 to 40 
  mph with gusts up to 65 mph. For watch, southwesterly winds 25 
  to 30 mph with gust upwards of 40 mph. 

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For warning, as low as 13 percent. For
  watch, as low as 10 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the mid to upper 60s for warning. In the mid
  50s for the watch. 

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...Critical
