The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Saginaw County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until 1245 AM EDT.

* At 1156 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located 7 miles east of St. Charles, moving east at 40
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Birch Run and Bridgeport around 1200 AM EDT.
  Frankenmuth around 1205 AM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, Burt, Gera, and Fosters.

This includes I-75 between mile markers 134 and 146.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN SAGINAW COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened, and no longer 
appears capable of producing a tornado. Therefore, the warning has 
been cancelled.  However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still 
possible with this thunderstorm.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT for southeastern
Michigan.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect 
until 1230 AM.
