The National Weather Service in JACKSON KY has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Powell County in east central Kentucky...
  Montgomery County in east central Kentucky...
  Southern Bath County in east central Kentucky...
  Western Menifee County in east central Kentucky...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 509 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Sideview, or 12 miles northwest of Mount Sterling,
  moving southeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Grassy Lick around 515 PM EDT.
  Mount Sterling around 520 PM EDT.
  Ewington around 525 PM EDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Jeffersonville, Peeled Oak and Cedar Groves.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

At 531 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Gatewoods Station, or near Mount Sterling, moving
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
  Jeffersonville, Cedar Groves, Frenchburg and Tabor.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Sterling, Frenchburg, Jeffersonville, Camargo, Campsites in the
Indian Creek area of the Daniel Boone National Forrest, Clay Lick,
Means, Levee, Preston, Cornwell, Rothwell, and Walkers Crossing.

SOUTHERN BATH AND WESTERN MENIFEE COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 600 PM
EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened, and no longer 
appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
east central Kentucky.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
JACKSON KY.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning with tonado possible still 
remains in effect for portions of Montgomery and Bath.
