The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern Russell County in central Kansas...
  Northwestern Barton County in central Kansas...

* Until 445 PM CDT.

* At 412 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 6 miles south of
  Milberger, or 10 miles northwest of Hoisington, moving north at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* The tornado will be near...
  Milberger around 420 PM CDT.

This includes Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 182 and 185, and
between Mile Markers 187 and 189.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN RUSSELL AND NORTH CENTRAL BARTON COUNTIES...

At 419 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Milberger, or 12 miles north of Hoisington, moving
north at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern Russell and north central Barton Counties.

This includes Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 182 and 185, and
between Mile Markers 187 and 189.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN RUSSELL AND NORTH CENTRAL
BARTON COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central
Kansas.

Remember, a Tornado Warning still remains in effect for western 
Barton County until 445 PM.
