The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
  Northeastern Armstrong County in the Panhandle of Texas...
  Southwestern Donley County in the Panhandle of Texas...

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 1202 PM CDT, a dust channel was near Goodnight, or 13 miles 
  southeast of Claude along US Highway 287 down to Claredon. 

  HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in 
           excess of 60 mph.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* US Highway 287 between Claude and Claredon. 

Locations impacted include...
Clarendon, Claude, Howardwick, Lelia Lake, Greenbelt Lake, and
Goodnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.

The dust storm which prompted the warning has weakened. Therefore,
the dust storm warning has been allowed to expire. Areas of blowing
dust with low visibility will continue at times.
