* At 940 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Uptown Charlotte, or over The Plaza, moving
  northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

was located 6 miles east of Uptown Charlotte, or near Reedy Creek
Park, moving northeast at 40 mph.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
