The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Hardin County in west Tennessee...

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 841 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Pickwick Dam, or near Pickwick Landing State Park,
  moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Savannah, Pickwick Landing State Park, Pickwick Dam, Olive Hill,
  Counce, Lowryville, Hamburg, Bruton Branch, Center Star, Maddox,
  Walkertown, Olivehill, and Childers Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a storm shelter or an interior room on the
lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are
outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest
substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

PM CDT...

The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area. 

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for west
Tennessee.
