The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Jo Daviess County in northwestern Illinois...
  Northwestern Carroll County in northwestern Illinois...
  Jackson County in east central Iowa...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 704 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Cottonville, or
  11 miles northeast of Maquoketa, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Broadcast media confirmed tornado. At 659 PM CDT, local 
           broadcast media reported viewer video of a tornado near 
           Andrew.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* The tornado will be near...
  Bellevue, Springbrook, Green Island, Whitton, Blanding, Bellevue 
  State Park, and Blanding Landing around 710 PM CDT.
  Hanover, Reeceville, and Camp Far Horizons around 715 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Massbach, Mississippi Palisades State Park and Elmoville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
the Quad Cities.

At 721 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Otter Creek, or 8 miles north of Maquoketa, moving
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Andrew, Springbrook, and Cottonville around 725 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Bellevue, Blanding, Bellevue State Park, Blanding Landing, Green
Island, Whitton, Hanover, Reeceville, Camp Far Horizons, Massbach and
Mississippi Palisades State Park.

was located near Cottonville, or 11 miles northeast of Maquoketa,
moving east at 40 mph. A trained spotter has reported a funnel 
cloud north of Andrew. 

HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Bellevue, Springbrook, Whitton, Blanding, Bellevue State Park, and 
  Blanding Landing around 735 PM CDT.
  Hanover, Green Island, Reeceville, and Camp Far Horizons around 
  740 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
