* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Jackson County in southern Illinois...
  Central Perry County in southeastern Missouri...

* Until 630 AM CST.

* At 539 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Perryville, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Ava around 555 AM CST.
  Murphysboro around 600 AM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Lithium, Gorham, Campbell Hill, and Longtown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM CST FOR
NORTHWESTERN JACKSON AND NORTHEASTERN PERRY COUNTIES...

At 548 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 10 miles north of Altenburg, or 12 miles east of
Perryville, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
