  Northeastern Pettis County in central Missouri...
  South central Saline County in central Missouri...
  Northwestern Cooper County in central Missouri...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 414 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 7 miles northeast of Sedalia, moving north at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Nelson, Hughesville, and Blackwater.

This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 73 and
91.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

was located 10 miles north of Smithton, or 11 miles northeast of
Sedalia, moving north at 10 mph.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN PETTIS...SOUTH CENTRAL SALINE
AND NORTHWESTERN COOPER COUNTIES HAS EXPIRED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire.  However, heavy 
rain and possible flash flooding is possible with this thunderstorm.
