* Until 530 PM CDT.
* At 452 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado
were located along a line extending from near Birch Tree to 7 miles
northeast of Alton to 7 miles east of Mammoth Spring State Park,
moving northeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

of Handy to 9 miles southeast of Alton, moving northeast at 60 mph.
