West Central Pontotoc County in east central Oklahoma...
Eastern Garvin County in southern Oklahoma...
Northeastern Murray County in southern Oklahoma...
* Until 500 PM CDT.
* At 155 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Sulphur, Davis, Wynnewood, Stratford and Lake Of The Arbuckles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR WEST CENTRAL PONTOTOC, EASTERN GARVIN AND NORTHEASTERN
MURRAY COUNTIES...
At 311 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported high water rescues
between Davis and Sulphur. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
